When his Mother’s dying wish to be buried in the family mausoleum is refused, impoverished Louis vows to avenge her death by murdering every member of the D’Ascoynes (all played by Alec Guinness) who stand between him and the family fortune. One of the most celebrated British films of all time, this Ealing comedy hilariously skewers aristocracy and class.
