Kötting remains a constant inspiration to me. It was with this masterful road movie that his influence on my work began. To this day, nothing appears to be off the table for Andrew when it comes to experimentation. This is especially true in his approach to sound. A unique film made by a singular artist, it remains as playful, powerful and fresh as it did 30 years ago.
The screening of Gallivant on Sunday 26 April will include a Q&A with director Andrew Kötting, hosted by filmmaker Mark Jenkin.
Gallivant screens as part of a programme exploring sound and image, curated by Mark Jenkin and tying in with the release of Rose of Nevada.
