Feel the Floor (Beacon Press) captures the world of Harlem Renaissance dancer and choreographer Buddy Bradley, who revitalised dance in the West End and infused jazz movement into ballet. Working with Jessie Matthews, Jack Buchanan, Noël Coward, Frederick Ashton and George Balanchine, Bradley’s innovative choreography is preserved in glamorous 1930s British musical films and endures on stage.
