Even if the world forgets me, you please don’t is a new work by British Asian art duo Athen Kardashian and Nina Mhach Durban. It responds to the archive of filmmaker Gurinder Chadha OBE, now cared for by the BFI National Archive.

As part of the season Women Filmmakers and their Archives, Kardashian and Mhach Durban were granted special access to the paper and born digital archive of Gurinder Chadha, with particular focus on material relating to the iconic 2002 production Bend It Like Beckham.

You can see Even if the world forgets me, you please don’t on the Mezzanine at BFI Southbank outside the Blue Room for the duration of the season: from Saturday 17 January to Sunday 1 February 2026.
