Erice-Kiarostami: Correspondences

Ten ‘video-letters’ sent to one another by two great directors – each an admirer of the other’s work – whose lives and films have shared certain similarities. The short films are playful, thoughtful, engaging – and in the case of Kiarostami, sometimes teasingly mysterious – responses not only to the preceding ‘letter’ but to the sender’s work in general. Deceptively modest, they are also delightfully imaginative.
