How to book
This year, we’re offering both in-venue and online events to provide a hybrid festival experience to a wide range of attendees from across the globe.
Attending industry events
This year’s festival is one of our most accessible ever. Our events will be held either in-venue at the BFI Southbank in London, or online via Zoom, YouTube, and Instagram. Our online events will be available worldwide and start times are given in GMT, so please ensure to check the corresponding start time in your time zone.
In-venue events
Our in-person events including the Marketplace, film screenings, and our awards ceremony will take place at the BFI Southbank in London.
You can book a day pass which allows you to attend events on a certain day as well as gain access to the short film screening and networking drinks. Alternatively, you can buy a pass for the whole festival and join us for all four days.
Whether you're coming along for one day or the whole festival, please select the events you’d like to attend via the booking page, then simply show your tickets at the door.
You cannot book individual sessions for our in-venue programme so why not book for a day and attend a variety of events.

Online events
All our online events are free to attend and will be uploaded to YouTube or saved on IGTV after the festival so if you aren’t able to make it or you’re attending in-person, but also want to watch one of our online events, you can do so after the festival. There is no priority booking for members for these events.
Zoom events
You need to register via Eventbrite to attend each Zoom event.
Use the booking link on individual event pages to access the Eventbrite page and reserve your place.
Once you’ve registered, we’ll email you a link to access the Zoom event 48 hours before it starts, and then again shortly before the event starts.
All festival online events are free and can be accessed from anywhere in the world!
YouTube events
You don’t need to register for YouTube events. Just make sure you’ve loaded up the YouTube link at the right time to watch.
Links will be available on each event page 24 hours before the event’s start time.
Instagram events
Follow the @BFIFilmAcademy on Instagram and join us for a range of interviews, discussions, and live reports from the festival.
Just head to our profile at the listed event time to tune in.
