1. When to book

Tickets go on general sale at 12pm on Thursday 26 February. 

You can book tickets from 12pm on the following days if you’re a BFI Member:

  • BFI Patrons – Monday 23 February
  • BFI Members – Tuesday 24 February

More tickets will be released from 12pm Thursday 12 March

Tickets for free events can be booked from 12pm Thursday 12 March

2. How to book

Get last minute tickets during the festival

Online

Check the BFI Flare website after 11am each day during the festival to see newly released tickets for screening and events, subject to availability.

In-person

Join the standby queue at BFI Southbank 30 minutes before the screening as tickets are released 15 minutes before.

Call the box office on 020 7928 3232 to book tickets from 12pm to 7pm (6pm on Sunday).

To book access tickets, please contact our dedicated access line on 020 7960 2102 or [email protected]. We welcome calls using text relay services.

Buy tickets in person

You can go to BFI Southbank and buy tickets in person:

  • from 12pm on Monday 23 February, Tuesday 24 February and Thursday 26 February
  • from 11am to 8.30pm on all other days

3. Ticket prices

Tickets start from £10 (£6 for 25 and Under) across all London screenings and events.

BFI 25 and Under

Sign up for a free BFI 25 and Under account to book £6 tickets to all screenings (subject to availability, one ticket per person). Join for free today.

We also have concession prices available.

Evening and weekend screenings

  • Members: £12
  • Standard: £14

Weekday matinees (before 5pm)

  • Members: £8
  • Standard: £10

Opening and Closing Night Film premieres

  • Members: £16
  • Standard: £18

Festival pass for 10 films

Relaxed screenings are always £6.

Event prices

Concessions

You can get concession tickets for screenings on evenings or weekends:

  • £10 Members
  • £12 standard

There are no concessions for the Closing Night Film

Concessions are available for:

  • seniors (people aged 60 and over)
  • anyone on Universal or pension credits
  • unwaged or anyone on unemployment benefit
  • students (with a valid student ID card)
  • disabled visitors

Free events

These events are free and open to all (there are age restrictions for some).

Book from 12pm Thursday 12 March

Tickets do not guarantee entry: entry is on a first come, first served basis. You can only book two tickets per person.

If you receive Universal Credit, Pension Credit or Jobseeker’s Allowance

We offer £6 on-the-day tickets, subject to availability.

Sign up in person at the BFI Southbank box office before you book and bring two documents to confirm your eligibility. After signing up, you can log in and book £6 tickets online on the day.

4. Exchanges, refunds and resales

There are no exchanges or refunds of any kind for all customers.

Tickets may not be resold for higher than 20% above the face value displayed, and any such action may result in cancellation of the original booking by the BFI.

Maximum of 2 tickets per film per customer until Thursday 26 February.

5. Terms and conditions

BFI Members are exempt from booking fees.

Children under 15 are not permitted to attend any festival screenings unless the film has received a lower BBFC certificate or been indicated as suitable for family audiences.

Films and events certified as over 18 are indicated at the point of purchase.

Festival passes are subject to availability on individual films. We are unable to exchange individual tickets into passes as per our non-transferable and nonrefundable ticket policy.

We may sometimes make programme alterations, additions and venue changes after the programme has gone on sale. Ticket holders will be notified of any such changes.
